Here at Broadings Farm, you have the option to either walk into the town, which is less than 1 mile, via a shortcut away from the road, or you can walk five minutes up the road towards the Victoria Garden Centre, cross the road and you’re at the Park and Ride Station.
Here you can catch the bus every 15 minutes into the town early, until 7pm each evening.
It costs just £2.70 for a return ticket (concessions save £1)
You can also walk to the first layby, past the Spar garage on the main road, (about 5-10 mins) and catch the X93 bus, which goes to Whitby, then Scarborough via Robin Hoods Bay.
On the opposite side of the road is the bus stop to return to the campsite on the X93, or go on to the little villages of Aislaby, Guisborough, etc towards Middlesbrough. These go every half an hour until about 7pm.
If you walk into the town, you can also catch the X4, which takes you to Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Staithes, Saltburn, Redcar and Middlesbrough. These also are half hourly but run a bit later.
